Abstract：In concerning with the new concept of tree crop zones,this paper analyzes the current situation,climatic features composition of the representative tree crops in the first and second tree crop zones in China,indicating that there is a transitionany tree crop zone known as the third crop zone between the first and the second zone.Starting with the climatic features,tree crop resources and biological features,this paper suggests that the representative tree crop should be kiwifruit,which becomes the basis of formation and development of the third tree crop zone in China.
